Please allow me to introduce myself!
My name is Kari Crimmins. I am the broker and owner of North Pointe Realty, an independant real estate company located in Pequot Lakes, MN. I created this company from scratch in early 2017 because I wanted to build a brokerage with values consistant with my own, that could offer small-town client services with the technology of a large brand. I've created a real estate brokerage that practices the newest marketing strategies and still offers old fashioned service and the expertise of experienced agents with local area knowledge and connections.
My passion for real estate started at the very young age of 9 when the landlord of the home my family had rented came over for a yearly inspection. The landlord gave my mother a hug and my mother’s gratitude was obvious, from that moment I knew I wanted to be that women in the salmon colored pant suit!
I currently live in Pine River, with my 2 children, dog, & 3 wheeler! :) In fact, I've lived in Pine River or its surrounding areas my entire life. I am a 2007 Pine River-Backus graduate, & you may even remember me from my 9 years waitressing at the Cottage Cafe. After school I spent a short time cutting hair, & then spent five years in banking. 2018 will mark my 4th year as a landlord, and my 3rd year selling real estate.
Real Estate is not just my job, it’s my passion. It’s being invited into your home and learning your story. I love to hear the why's, the how comes, the “this stain here is from one of those quarter machine slime balls.” Its closing the door on one journey and opening the door to the next and I feel absolutely honored to be a part of that.
I never really knew for sure what I wanted to be when I grew up until I discovered real estate. I chose to earn my degree in marketing because I am intrigued by the science behind what drives people's buying decisions, but even after I obtained my real estate license in an attempt to advance my banking career, I assumed I would continue in the banking/mortgage industry indefinitely. When I lost my job as a banker and was forced to jump feet first into real estate sales, I finally discovered my passion. It was also then that I invested in my first "flip" project; I fell in love and haven't looked back! It is true what they say, " When one door closes another one opens," and I couldn't be more grateful! As a Lakes Area native, I am intimately familiar with all of the lakes, neighborhoods, and attractions that make our area a destination. I love that I live where other people come to vacation - for that I feel absolutely blessed! Our home is truly a playground for the activities that I love. Water skiing, snorkeling, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, are just a few things I enjoy. As a business owner and mother of two beautiful daughters, I have very little free time. Fortunately, I have chosen a career that I love and I rarely feel like I'm working.
